Bridal nails and makeup

Hello everyone ^_^/

or rather, good morning as it's half seven in the morning here.
And yes, I haven't slept yet. You see darling and me had our 1 year wedding anniversary yesterday.
And we spent the whole night partying ofc. So now I am still so hyper and I cannot sleep.

Instead I will share with you my bridal nails and make up. Yayyyyyy!!!

As every bride I was very excited on deciding how my hair, make up and nails would be. I bought a few fake nail sets from Japan and kept trying them on and on, trying to figure out which one to use.

The winner was this lovely hand painted nail set from Yuzu Nail that I bought in MaruiOne.

I applied them at the very last minute using nail tape and I am so happy I chose them. This photo was from when I first bought them as now they are flying around somewhere in the house and I need to locate them (I swear half of my things are MIA since we moved).

As for my make up I did not want something subtle but I wanted to go all the way. Being a dark chick who likes gothic looks since I was a kid I decided that it should show at least in my make up (as Greece is too traditional for brides to be able to wear let's say dark or medieval wedding gowns without the parents having multiple heart attacks). So we used purple shades, lots of purple glitter and Shu Uemura eyelashes with dark Swarovski crystals.

I also got this lovely tiara from acpetrille's etsy shop .

It was such a crazy day and I don't remember much but looking back at the photos I am pleased with how everything turned out. Still I am glad it's over XD (you can tell I am not one of the girls who dream of getting married since they were kids).

And I am gonna close this post with a bonus shot of me trying to put on my nails before leaving the house to get married. It was insane I tell you, insane!

Japan haul pt1, TiNs & Jill Stuart

Hello everyone ^_^/

I hope you all had a nice weekend.
Today I will show you some of the polishes I have brought home from Japan.

First off, one of my favourite brands, TiNS.

This brand can be found mostly in Japan and maybe a few other Asian countries and it has some of the prettiest glitters I have ever seen. Excellent on it's own but also perfect for layering and gradation manicures. Here are the colours I got, swatched on a nail wheel, two coats each.

From left to right
023 the Neptune, 064 the Immediately Sexy, 034 the Holiday Cheer, 036 the Exotic Lotus, 058 the Frozen Style Icon

The second brand I will share today is Jill Stuart.

Jill Stuart cosmetics have become insanely popular in Japan lately and this includes the nail polish line as well. The most impressive thing about these polishes are the lovely bottles. The colours are quite subtle and unfortunately the details are impossible to capture on camera. As you can see, three of the four colours look almost the same in the pic but believe me they are not. These polishes are great for work or a subtle look like a french manicure with a bit of sparkle. Two coats each.

From left to right the colours are
46 Shiny Prism, 44 Sweet Venus, 17 Purple Rain, 22 Misty Flash

What do you think about these colours? Are you interested in hard to find nail polishes?
If so check out my Big in Japan Giveaway for a chance to win some hard to find nail polishes from Japan. Open until October 15 ^_^

Zoya Edyta & Konading

Hello everyone ^_^/

It's 6 am over here and I am still unable to go to sleep. So I decided to share my latest favourite nail colour with you all instead.

It's Zoya Edyta. I have been seeing swatches of this beauty all over the blogosphere so I decided it needed to be  on my nails asap. Can I say I'm in love? A dark lovely colour with golden shimmer which look fabulous after just two coats. Added a coat of Seche for extra shine.

After wearing it for a couple of days I decided to spice it up a bit with some nail stamping. Using China Glaze 2030 and Konad plate m61 I added these lovely flower designs.

I think the colours worked really well together, what do you think?

Eyeko Lilac

Hello everyone ^_^/

I hope you all had a fun weekend!
Today I will share with you a nail colour that I got a while ago.
Eyeko Lilac.

I got quite a few Eyeko colours that I am gonna swatch soon but this is definitely my favoutie. It's 2 coats over base coat and as you can see it is fully opaque.
An added bonus is the cute bottle.

I want to add more photos to the post but blogger keeps crashing on me and I cannot. Still you can see this lovely colour quite well on the above pic, I'm sure ^_^

If you would like to get your hands on some Eyeko products you can do so following the link on the left sidebar. If you order more than $15 you get a free gift too!

China Glaze Halloween

Hello everyone ^_^/

Wow, it's Friday already and yay October is here.
This means fall is here full on. I love fall and in Greece we usually feel it around October as September is still quite warm. I love autumn as it means it is the end of the horrible summer with heat and stickiness and we can finally have bearable temperatures and dress nicely.

Thank you so much to everyone for your support with my little hand accident. The situation remains mostly unchanged but I decided to ignore the pain and change my manicure today anyway.

And as October is Halloween month I decided it was time I tried a couple of the China Glaze Awakening polishes. My choices: Mummy May I and Zombie Zest. For the record I want to say I usually hate greens. But Zombie Zest is one of the best nail polish colours I have ever seen. Now I understand why many nail fanatics were ecstatic about this colour. You have to see it in person to understand the awesomeness.

I used Anna Sui base coat, then 3 coats of polish and a coat of China Glaze Fast Forward top coat.

I am showing you the left hand (minus the battered finger XD). On the right hand I did the exact opposite, used Mummy May I for the index finger and Zombie Zest for the rest.

Please excuse the quality of the mani and the pics, there is so much I can do in this situation.
Also if you haven't already, take a look at my giveaway on the sidebar and enter. It ends on October 15. And make sure to join the other giveaways I have listed, all of them are great ^_^
