the Greek files #10

Hello everyone ^_^/

I will close the month of November with another instalment of the Greek files.

This time I want to show you a fabulous blue flakie nail polish from a Greek budget beauty brand called Beauty Line.
I found this both in blue and black and snagged both but I wanted to try the blue one first.
As I wanted the colour to be a bit darker, I layered one coat over a coat of Just Rock It, a dark blue by Essence. Added a coat of Seche Vite for extra shine and that was it ^_^

Unfortunately the photos don't do this beautiful nail polish justice. As we don't have a lot of sun in the winter I couldn't showcase the flakie goodness properly. But this is a fabulous and quite unique colour and can be bought at a very good price, so I just couldn't pass it up ^_^

Nails, nails and more nails + a cool deal

Hello everyone ^_^/

Wow, it's been almost two weeks since my last post but I have a good excuse. I am working for something very exciting. I cannot reveal what it is yet but soon, very soon, I will ^_^

In the meantime, here are the nails I've been sporting for these last couple of weeks.

First I wore my favourite colour from the Color Club Molten Metals collection, Lumin-Icent. It's a lovely light blue metallic colour which is perfect for this time of year. Perfect coverage in two coats is definitely a plus ^_^

After a couple of days of crafting non stop there was some minor chipping. But I loved the colour so much that I decided a glitter gradation mani would be the best solution. I used Color Club Sugarplum Fairy and Jingle Jangle from the Beyond the Mistletoe collection and voila! My mani was saved!

Don't you just love gradation nails? It's one of my favourite looks as it's easy to make and always looks glamorous!

Next up I went for my favourite colour, purple! Here is Etude House LUCIDarling in Purple Satin. I had to use three coats for this one to get perfect coverage.

And last but not least, here is the colour I have on right now. China Glaze Marry a Millionaire from the Eye Candy 3D glitter collection. I was so excited when I first heard about these that I just had to get them asap! And I definitely wasn't disappointed! It was really hard choosing which colour to try first but I just had to go with the purple one in the end XD

The photo just doesn't do this beauty justice. This is one of the most interesting glitters I have ever owned. Purple mini bar glitter with a mix of green and silver. Absolutely fantastic!!!

Before I close this post I would like to inform you about a great deal that is on right now at over at Viva La Nails. There is a Black Friday 25% off deal running. Just enter code BLACK during check out to get 25% off your order.

I certainly won't be passing this one up!

Anna Sui gothic roses nails

Hello everyone ^_^/

Today I have a very special manicure to show you. This is my favourite style on nails. Dark colours, roses and lots of glitter. Plus a lovely rose scent.

I present to you my Anna Sui gothic roses manicure.

Here is what I used.

Anna Sui #110  a lovely black polish with silver glitter
Anna Sui #300 a pink chunky glitter polish
Seche Vite base and top coat
Rose nail decals

First I applied two coats of Anna Sui 110

This is my go to nail polish when I need a quick glamorous manicure. Unfortunately this exact colour has been discontinued and this is my last bottle so I use it sparingly.

Then I added the nail decals and glitter. I sealed everything with Seche Vite top coat and my nails were ready!

Do you like wearing dark colours on your nails? Or do you find them too gothic?

Let's try something different

Hello everyone (^o^)/

I've been thinking for a while now that I wanted to have a bit more variety in my blog (which was my intention when I started, before getting sucked in to the world of nail polish). So since one of my hobbies is photography I decided to start a new feature for this blog, called "last month in pictures". Pretty self-explanatory, right?

So here is Cel's October in pictures.

I did a bit of nail hauling, both for me and for nail swaps.

I walked around town with good friends

And enjoyed the colours of a beautiful sunset.

But I wasn't lazy!

I tidied up my stuff (or at least I tried XD)

And worked on some custom orders and new items for my shop.

And that was how October went by (^∇^)

What did you think of this post dear friends? Did you like it or did you find it boring?

November nail inspiration and my Seventeen giveaway winner

Hello everyone ^_^/

Four days into November, this is the November nail inspiration post. A few days ago I got the November issue of Nail Up! and I fell in love with the pretty nail art ideas and tutorials. So for this month, inspiration comes from this magazine. Here are the manicures that I enjoyed most.

I really like the above designs, especially the lovely marble french manicure. Such an interesting twist to a somewhat usual look.

And here are some step by step tutorials for some cool looks ^_^

Also on October 31st was the end of my Seventeen nail polishes giveaway. The winner is commenter #60, Kayono of Neues from Kellerkind. Congratulations!!! Please drop me an email so I can send your prize to you (^_^)

That's it for this post dear readers, I hope you are all having a fab day!
