China Glaze Grape Crush

Hello everyone ^_^/

today I am very excited as I have something extraordinary to show you.
My biggest lemming that has finally been fulfilled thanks to a very kind person on ebay <3
And it is none other than China Glaze Grape Crush.

I fell in love with this purple polish which is full of holographic glitter, ever since I first saw some swatches online.Unfortunately it was impossible to locate until a few weeks ago I saw someone selling it on ebay for a very reasonable price. You can imagine how excited I was!

So I just had to take it with me on my vacation to wear it on the beach and enjoy it in it's full glory! I applied two coas and on my ring finger I added a layer of China Glaze Platinum Pieces to add a little variety. Sealled everything with Seche Vite and I was good to go.

It was really worth all the searching and waiting, as this is definitely one of the most impressive nail polishes in my collection. It's purple and full of holographic glitter. What more can I ask for, really!

I was amazed by how this looked inside the water. So bright and sparkly! I tried to capture a pic without dropping my phone in the sea but I think I failed. Still, here it is!

Do you own this colour? What do you think about it?

New Glitter Gal holographic colours

Hello everyone ^_^/

I have been absent from the blog for a while as I went on a much needed vacation.

But I haven't been neglecting my nails. Quite the contrary!
Since I went to the sea, I decided to try out the new Glitter Gal holographic colours that my dear 'Chelle sent me. The weather was really good and sunny so it was perfect for trying them out and snapping some photos.

So without further ado I present to you Glitter Gal's Light As a Feather and Lizard Belly (as seen from left to right on the above photo).

I am always impressed by Glitter Gal's fantastic nail polishes as they are always top quality and these two didn't disappoint me at all. I applied 3 layers and a coat of Seche Vite on top.

I couldn't stop staring at my nails. Under direct sunlight they sparkled and I could see the holo effect in all it's greatness.

Here is a bonus shot under artificial light, holding my favourite Kuromi water bottle which is holographic too ^_^

What do you think of these, dear readers? Have you tried this brand before?
If you are a holo freak like me, I suggest you give Glitter Gal a go. You won't be disappointed.

I've been swapping...

Hello everyone ^_^/

I have entered the last week of my summer vacation but here is a post to show you what I've been up to this summer. Amongst other things, I've been swapping with some lovely ladies from the blogging world ^_^

I did quite a few swaps so here they are. (picture heavy post ahead!)

First up is a swap I did with the lovely Marina that runs the blog Bonekiitah Dos Vernizes.

It was such an exciting swap as she is from Portugal and I never had any nail polishes from there. She included so many pretty nail colours from brands I have never seen before. I especially love the army green one, such a unique colour for my collection.

Marina is such a sweet girl, it was great swapping with her. Even though her blog is in Portugese, check it out for all the lovely nail art and polishes she posts ^___^

I also had a swap with the kind MelSteph from Singapore. We have been discussing our swap for quite some time and I was so excited when we finally managed to do it! She included some fantastic nail colours and a couple of brands are new to me and am totally excited to try them out!

I had another swap with Liz from Lulla Writes. I had so much fun doing this swap and I was really happy to receive her lovely package. She included some yummy treats too but hubby got to them before I managed to snap a photo!

And last but not least I had two swaps with my dearest 'Chelle who runs the Cosmetic Cupcake blog. I don't think I need to say a lot about her, I bet everyone knows what a fantastic person she is! I cannot imagine going polish shopping and not getting some for her too. She is my official nail polish buddy ^_^

This was our first summer swap. She even remembered me while travelling in Hong Kong and got me some awesome shades from there too. And she even remembered my love for kawaii character goods <3 Could she be any kinder?

And this package from her arrived yesterday just in time for the end of summer. She even included the new Glitter Gal holos (that are on my nails already ofc XD). And in case you are wondering, the sweets included are no more!

If you made it to the end of this post, congratulations!
To close it, I want to say one more time a big thank you to all the ladies mentioned here. It has been a great pleasure getting to know you and swapping with you all <3

If you would like to swap with me too, check the I Swap tag on my blog ^_^

September nail inspiration, Anna Sui

Hello everyone ^_^/

Today I have another nail inspiration post for you.
This is the September edition and please allow me to say, yay, autumn is finally here *^___^*

This month's nail inspiration comes from Anna Sui as tribute to her new nail polish bottle design which debuts this fall.

I just got the latest edition of Nail Venus and as soon as I opened it I saw this. According to the magazine, this fall, Anna Sui nail colours dress up, being reborn!!!

I am so excited, I am absolutely loving the new design and can't wait for these to debut on October 1. Hopefully I will be able to get some with the help of my friends, as Anna Sui cosmetics are not available here.

So to celebrate this rebirth, here are a few nail art tutorials that were up in the summer at Anna Sui cosmetics.

What do you think of the designs? I am absolutely in love with all 3 of them (which is why Iam sharing them here too as I cannot seem to find them on the site anymore). Anna Sui still remains my main nail inspiration, as it was her lovely nail polishes that got me interested in nail art when I first went to Japan, many years ago.

p.s. the first image is from Nail Venus and has been scanned by me. The tutorial images are from Anna Sui cosmetics. To see a larger version of each image, just click on it.
