Trick or treat, nails and candy for Halloween

Happy Halloween everyone!

One of my favourite times of the year is finally here so of course I had to make a post, no matter how busy I am. Because of the day this will be a post full of sweets and also sparkly spooky nails!

Trick or treat!

Let's start with my nails of the day! Every year I look forward to what China Glaze will have to offer for Halloween and once again I wasn't disappointed. So my mani for the day is from the Monsters Ball collection. I painted all my nails with Bump in the Night, a black textured polish and then for some extra sparkle I applied a coat of Boo-gie Down, a mix of black white and orange glitter. I am very pleased with this combo. It even matches my outfit of the day ^_^

But no Halloween is complete without some treats so for this day I was prepared as I decided a while ago I wanted to get some of my favourite Japanese sweets. So I did a Japanese snacks haul from Oyatsu cafe, a Japanese candy online store.

And here is what I got!
First my favourite Ghana chocolate, which I hadn't eaten for so long!!!

I also got a mix of flavours of Hi-Chew candy as both me and my darling love this.

Kanjani8 did an ad for Hi-Chew at some point too XD

We also got some Jagariko potato sticks, all three flavours that are available. Om nom nom!

And since this is a Halloween post I will close with the most fitting song for the occasion!

I hope you are all having a fun day!
p.s. all the products in this post have been purchased by me.

Picture Polish Frosting, a nail polish by Cosmetic Cupcake

Lately I have been in love with a specific nail polish, so much that I was wearing it for two weeks straight. And you know that is a very long time for a nail polish addict! It all started back in early August when I received a package from my dear friend 'Chelle who runs the blog Cosmetic Cupcake (more on that epic package on a later post). Inside was Frosting, a nail polish she created in collaboration with piCture pOlish. As soon as I laid eyes on it I was in love!

I think it is one of the cutest nail polishes I have ever seen and worn on my nails! Pink, silver and purple glitter mixed with hearts suspended in a pink milky base. I expected nothing less from my dear friend as this unique creation matches her completely ^_^

In the photos I am wearing two coats over base coat, sealed with a coat of Seche Vite top coat.

I loved how it looked on my nails and kept staring at my hands! With a coat of Seche Vite it lasted 6 days without chipping (then I had to redo it).

I got so many compliments on it that I got inspired to create a cute romantic handmade necklace too!

What do you think of this nail polish dear readers? Isn't it adorable? If you wish to purchase it head over at Picture Polish. If you like the necklace instead you can find it at Cel's Deconails storenvy or etsy store ^_^

It's a girl \(@ ̄∇ ̄@)/

The last day of summer today and I have to admit I couldn't be happier! Every summer I complain and complain about the heat but this August has brought me the greatest treasure. So I can finally reveal to you why things have been so quiet here since Christmas!

I was pregnant \(^ ^)/
So as you can imagine with so many changes happening in my life and all the preparations I had to make (plus I had to take it easy), there wasn't much time for blogging.

And finally a few weeks ago my baby girl came into the world! So I can say that this summer has been the best of my life so far 。◕‿◕。

I do not plan on abandoning my blog ofc but as my baby and me get to know each other and find our daily rhythm, posts will continue to be sporadic. I will try to post at least 2-3 times a month though until I go back to a more regular posting schedule. Hope you all had a great summer!

August nail inspiration, hot nail colours for summer, nail art tutorials

August, the last and hottest month of summer is here, so for this month's nail inspiration, let's take a look at the hottest summer nail colours, according to Japanese nail magazines. You can see 8 fun and easy to do summer nail art tutorials after the cut.

This month's scans also come from the 15 year anniversary issue of Nail Max (if you can get your hands on this issue it is totally worth it!) Just looking at all these pretties, I want them all!!!

So first up we have nails in black or white. Both classic colours for every season.

For something more feminine, red and pink nails. Both classic colours as well.

When it comes to summer nails, orange and yellow colours are a must!

And last but not least, gold and silver for a touch of glam!

What do you think dear readers? Which colour is your favourite for summer? Personally I like blue and teal nails but they were not included in this list!
