Black and silver gradation with Anna Sui #003 nail polish

Hello everyone ^_^/

A quick post today as I am quite busy but I wanted to show you this black x silver gradation mani as soon as possible. But first, as you must have noticed, my giveaway is closed since Monday. I have already started verifying the entries and will announce the winner by the end of the week :)

Now on to the nails. I used a nail polish I really like, Anna Sui #003 (black with silver glitter) and for the gradient effect I used Savvy Brownie #4, a silver glitter.

Here are the nail polishes I used
From left t right: Anna Sui top coat and base coat, Savvy Brownie #4 and Anna Sui #003.

As soon as I was done my nails were a bit of a mess but I snapped a photo anyway.

The end result after clean up.

Do you like nail looks like these? I adore gradation nails as they are fun and easy to do. Also if you use a lot of glitter, the end result can be extra sparkly.

Kiko 278 and some nail mail

Hello everyone ^_^/

I got some fabulous nail mail through swaps the last few weeks and amongst all the pretty nail polishes, this was the one I liked the most, Kiko 278.

As you can see it is a purple glitter nail polish and I got it from a swap with the lovely Lily from My Little World of Polish (more on that and other swaps in a minute). First let's talk about Kiko 278. In the bottle it looks like a multichrome but that doesn't translate on the nail. Still, the colour is fabulous. With two coats I got perfect coverage and I loved the vivid purple colour.

Here is the rest of Lily's package.

Apart from all the pretty nail polishes, she included some super cute accessories, cosmetics and some snacks from France. If you want to see the other half of our swap, make sure you check her blog ^_^

A few days ago, I got another swap package, this time from the lovely Kayono from Neues vom Kellerkind (who is one of the sweetest people in the blogging world, just in case you didn't know)

She included so many fabulous nail polishes (plus a yummy candy selection) from Germany, including some brands that I have never heard of before So excited as I always love trying new brands and colours ^____^
You should totally check out her blog too, her nail art skills are out of this world <3

Thank you so much Lily and Kayono, it was so much fun swapping with you both <3

Did you do any swaps recently dear readers? Which colours from the above swaps would you like to see me try first? Let me know and I will do some looks with those :)

the Greek files #12, Tommy G sun games

Hello everyone ^_^/

I am sitting here enjoying the cool breeze coming from my a/c, while the heat is melting everything outside. Meanwhile, I am thinking that in this hot weather, nothing is better than some nail polishes that are at their best under the bright sun. So for this edition of the Greek files, I present to you the new offerings by Tommy G, the Sun Games nail polish range.

From right to left we have Tommy G Sun Games #1, #2, #3, #4 and #5
As soon as I spotted those at the beauty store, they called to me. When I realised that they are multichromes that sparkle under the sun, I just had to get them all and try them out. I have a ton of ideas for manis with these lovelies but for the sake of this post I swatched them on a nail wheel on their own and over black nail polish. Each swatch is one coat of sun games or one coat of sun games over a coat of black. The formula is quite thick and these are one coaters so there is no need for multiple layers. All swatches are under direct sunlight.

The colours are pretty on their own but in my opinion they really come alive over black. I think all the colours are perfect for layering.

I have to say it once again, I am always pleasantly surprised by Greek brands as they seem to be upping their game. This is quite a unique series as I haven't seen something similar and I am impressed by the results. Also I want to make clear that I bought these nail polishes on my own and I do not have any affiliation with the company.

So dear readers, what do you think of these nail polishes? Have you seen anything similar in your corner of the world?

p.s. just a week left to enter my ongoing giveaway for a chance to win some really unique goodies ^_^

Cult Nails Seduction

Hello everyone ^_^/

Just a quick post from me today, showcasing one of the prettiest nail polishes that came out recently, Seduction by Cult Nails.

Seduction is a multichrome flakie in a sheer purple base. In other words, perfect for layering!!!

I decided to layer it over Kiko #301, a beautiful purple nail polish (that looks more blue than purple in all the photos). Here is Kiko 301 on its own (two coats over base coat).

But adding a coat of Seduction, my nails are transformed! With a layer of top coat, my nails are as shiny as ever.

If you would like to get this nail polish, make sure you hurry up as it is a limited edition nail polish, meaning it won't be available for a long time ;)

And here is an extra shot, with everything I used for this mani.

I will say it again, I love the Essence Better than Gel Nails series. The top coat is an excellent affordable substitute for the infamous Seche Vite top coat.

Do you own any of the above nail polishes dear readers? Which is your favourite top coat?

I think the transition went well, however, if you see anything broken, please let me know.
