Floral nails and a nail art class

February turned out to be a very busy month, leaving me no time for blogging yet again. I had the opportunity to do many fun things, including teaching a nail art class, so here is a nail inspiration post full of nail art ideas.

We tried a variety of nail art designs, incuding glitter gradations, animal print nails and cute fruits, using nail polish, glitter and acrylic colours.

For the occasion I decided to sport floral nails, mixing handpainted flowers and polka dots so I can show the girls how they can combine different designs to create a fun manicure.

Have you ever attended a nail art class dear readers? Or do you find the idea boring?
You have read this article black / color club / kawaii / nail art / nail inspiration / nail of the day / polka dots with the title . You can bookmark this page URL https://dizzymisslizzi6.blogspot.com/2014/02/floral-nails-and-nail-art-class.html. Thanks!

Beetlejuice inspired gothic nail art

Wow, January is almost over and just now I managed to find some time to write a new post!
But since today is the Chinese New Year, may the year of the horse bring happiness, health and prosperity to everyone ^_^

So for my first post for 2014 I want to show you some gothic nail art, inspired by one of my favourite movies, Beetlejuice!

I am a sucker for Tim Burton movies and I just rewatched Beetlejuice recently so I decided to do a mani to match the movie's atmosphere.

Here is what I used:

From right to left
Essence dark night starlight from the Dark Romance collection (a gift from the lovely Elena from Elena's finds
Essence Ahoy! from the 50's Girls collection
Andrea Fulerton black nail art pen
Tony Moly Startdust glitter nail polish
Seche Vite top coat
Skull nail decals

I absolutely loved the end result, I was so sad when I had to take it off! What do you have on your nails at the moment dear readers? Are you a Tim Burton fan? Which one is your favourite Tim Burton movie?

I am going to close this post with my favourite scene from the whole movie.
Bettlejuice... Beetlejuice... Beetlejuice... !!!

Purple nails for Christmas, OPI and China Glaze

Every year on Christmas eve I have to decide how to do my nails for Christmas. This year I decided to choose my favourite colour, purple!

First I painted my nails with two coats of OPI Vant to Bite my Neck, a purple creme from the recent OPI Euro Centrale collection (oh how I love both the colour and the name of this nail polish).

I could have left it like this, as the colour is fabulous and totally opaque in two coats but I wanted to add a touch of sparkle, so I reached for Put a Bow on it, a magenta glitter by China Glaze from the Chrismas 2013 Happi Holiglaze collection.

And voilĂ , my nails are ready for tonight's festivities ^_^

Do you like these colours dear readers? If you wish to get them you can find them along with a huge selection of nail colours at Beyond Polish, a webstore that specializes in nail products.

Merry Christmas everyone, I hope you have a great time today and tomorrow with your loved ones!

These nail polishes were provided to me for consideration by Beyond Polish but this did not influence my review in any way. This review expresses my honest opinion. If you would like to buy this nail polish or more you can visit http://www.beyondpolish.com/

Cute Nail Designs

When girls think of accessorizing that little black dress or new chic' top, they immediately think of jewelry and hair; forgetting about the nails. Certain nail polish colors and designs can take a complete look from great to stunning. Having a sense of style is something that most people have to perfect, but when you see style done right you immediately know the difference. It's often the little things and that extra step that matters like nails, and makeup details that separate them from the masses. Crafting cute nail designs and thinking of cute ideas takes patience and time if you are going to do them yourself, but in the end it is usually well worth the effort. As a tip, make sure that you use a sturdy and well known nail polish brand so that you can preserve your nails for as long as possible. There's nothing worse than having your nails start chipping the same day that you applied the polish.

The possibilities are endless when it comes to do it yourself nail designs and you can take something that may look casual and dress it up with the right jewelry, shoes and nail polish. Nail polish and designs can also serve to match color choices on clothing and footwear. Color matching is extremely important and having nails that go with the outfit can really make you stand out. Picture yourself wearing a neon pink top, a black skirt and some white or pink high heels. Now picture your nails with a base color of white and some neon pink and black abstract lines on top of the white background. The end product is something that is beautiful and over the top but done right and you will often find that cute nails can be a conversation starter for both females and males.

Nail art ideas are all about creativity. If you aren't very creative then feel free to look up images on the web or watch videos on YouTube; there are hundreds of each. Nail art designs don't only have to be for classy events, they can be for everyday looks, or even holidays. Go black and orange for Halloween, white and black for New Years or green and red for Christmas. Ideas can be tailored for all age groups and the best part is that it is relatively inexpensive, especially if you choose to do your own nails versus going to the salon. It is much more rewarding to do your own nails not only for monetary purposes but also because you will feel more confident, accomplished, and empowered when you tell those who ask that yes I did my own nails.

Metallic Nail Polish

Magnets are quickly being used as a way to add accessories to your look or wardrobe. They are being used to create looks as in fashion nails and to maintain the impression of a look as in magnetic earrings that appear to be earrings for pierced ears. Magnets are even being used for more useful purposes such as working as closures for clothing especially kids clothing, making it easier for them to participate in dressing themselves at a younger age. All in all magnets are in fashion and so are the looks they are making possible for the many that use them.

For those who love the look of highly decorated nails, but want to save on the expense of going to a nail salon to get those decorative nails, there's a new product called magnetic nail polish. This product is easy to use. Simply apply a couple of coats of the metallic nail polish and then hold the magnet over the nail while it dries, interesting designs formulate on the nail. Get that salon look with a much smaller investment and change the look easily. With all the other metallic nail polishes on the market, you can always sport a new and exciting look.

Magnets can be used at salons in conjunction with the new gel polishes that last up to three weeks with no chipping or peeling. A gel polish with magnetized elements can be used to create unique designs when a magnet is held over the nail before the polish dries creating eye-catching undulations or movements. The same designs can be created with other magnetized nail polishes.
