Christmas nails tutorial with Estessimo TiNS nail polishes

Hello everyone ^_^/

Christmas is already past and we are gearing towards the New Year but it's never too late to share my Christmas nails. I wanted something blingy for the holidays so I decided to use some of my Estessimo TiNS nail polishes.

After going through my stash I picked Estessimo TiNS the Happy Milk, a sheer sparkly white nail colour, and Estessimo TiNS the Prince Charming, a green glitter nail polish. I also used a sheet of Japanese 3D nail decals that were given to me as a gift from a good friend.

After painting my nails with two coats of the Happy Milk (it's super sheer as you can see) and waiting for it to dry, I sponged the Prince Charming on top, creating a glitter gradation.

Then I placed some of the stickers, making sure to keep a nice and balanced look and in the end I sealed everything with Seche Vite top coat.

My inspiration for this mani was our Christmas tree, which is why I chose a green background and white stickers so that they will look like ornaments on the tree.

I hope you all had a great Christmas with your loved ones. I will close this post with a bonus shot of our Christmas tree.

Layla Hologram Effect nail polish in Cloudy Violet and Emerald Divine

Hello everyone ^_^

it's been a while since I've last showed you a holographic nail polish around here but this is about to change. Recently I got my hands on a couple of Layla Hologram Effect nail polishes as I wanted to try them. The colours I chose were Cloudy Violet and Emerald Divine.

Before I continue, I would like to let you know that I have a Facebook only giveaway running, to celebrate my Facebook page 1000 likes milestone. Just go to Cel's Deconails facebook page to see how you can take part.

Back to the subject of nail polish, as I couldn't choose between the two, I decided to paint my nails with Cloudy Violet and use Emerald Divine as an accent colour on my ring finger. I used the NfuOh aqua base, applied two coats of the hologram effect nail polish on top and sealed everything with China Glaze Fast Forward top coat.

As you can see both colours look fabulous and Fast Forward didn't dull the holographic effect at all.

All photos are taken inside under artificial light. I wish I had some photos under direct sunlight to show you but the weather has been cloudy lately so I didn't get a chance to snap any.

What do you think of this combination dear readers? Do you own any Layla hologram effect nail polishes? Which colour would you recommend I should add to my collection? Let me know in the comments ^_^

December nail inspiration, Christmas nail art

Hello everyone ^_^/

the most beautiful month of the year is upon us once again. Just a few days left for Christmas so this nail inspiration post is full of Christmas nail art tutorials from the Nail Up! January 2011 edition.

These fun step by step nail art tutorials show you how to transform a fairly simple manicure into a Christmas nail art extravaganza. On the right there are two easy to follow nail art tutorials, while on the left you can see nail art ideas for the days before Christmas and how they can easily be transformed into Christmas nails for Christmas day.

Here are a few more simple (or not so much) Christmas nail art ideas.

Which one is your favourite dear readers? I am really loving all the snowflake designs as I am hoping we have a White Christmas this year.

Gold and black for James Bond

Hello everyone ^_^/

recently darling and me went to see Skyfall, so I wanted to make James Bond themed nails. As my nails are quite short lately, I decided to go for a black and gold glitter gradation. Black because in my opinion it's Bond's colour and gold because my favourite James Bond movie is Goldfinger.

I used Gold Old Buffy from the Essence Vampire's Love trend edition which is a black nail polish full of gold micro glitter and Make it Golden from the Essence colour & go series which is full of gold glitter of every shape and size.

I did an accent finger full of gold glitter and the gradation effect on the rest of my nails. Sealed everything with Seche Vite and I was good to go.

What I really loved about Make it Golden was that it was very easy to apply. Usually glitter nail polishes are troublesome as the glitter particles have to be moved around with the brush or an orange stick for full coverage. But this was not an issue in this case.

I seldom wear gold on my nails but I really liked this look. I got many compliments about it too both in and outside of the cinema ^_^

What about you dear readers? Have you watched Skyfall? Did you do a matching manicure?

Experiments, experiments...

Hello everyone ^_^/

in the midst of the Black Friday sale craziness, I am experimenting on new decoden styles. And since it's been a while since my last crafting post, I will show you the results of my experiments today!

A while ago a bought a bunch of super kawaii fabrics! They were sitting in a box while I was trying to decide what to do with them. So I decided to include them in a decoden project and see how they will turn out.

As I love changing my phone case every few months, I made a couple of cases for my phone. The first one has an Alice in Wonderland theme. I used a cute pink fabric with Alice themed playing cards, glitter and Swarovski crystals. And a lot of shiny varnish!!!

The second one is black and full of yummy sweets. I also added rhinestones for some bling ^_^
I used a different technique for this one so it turned out a bit rough around the edges, but I like it none the less.

Do you use phone cases dear readers? Do you prefer simple ones or blingy overloaded ones? Let me know in the comments!
