Orly in my city? Yay!!!

Hello everyone ^_^/

Just a few days ago, I was enjoying a nightly stroll around town and came across something totally unexpected. What was it you may ask and how does it relate to this post here?

Well, it was this!

An Orly Birds Of a Feather collection display! You can imagine my surprise, as I had no idea this brand was available in my city ^_^

So of course I had to go when the store was open and check out the selection!
I was not disappointed as they had the whole collection available, yay!

Having all these lovely colours, it was quite hard for me to decide on just a few but in the end I picked up 4 nail polishes.

From left to right, Liquid Vinyl, Night Owl, Lucky Duck and of course Fowl Play. They had other brands available but I decided to focus on Orly.
The owner was very nice and we chatted for a while about nails and stuff so my trip was double the fun.
I already have Fowl Play on my nails but that will be the subject for another post.

And for my Greek readers.
Αν μένετε στην Θεσσαλονίκη και σας ενδιαφέρει, το μαγαζί λέγεται Hair Play και βρίσκεται Β.Όλγας 166.

Ozotic Pro 506, a multichrome party!

Hello everyone ^_^/

As promised in my previous post, today I will show you one of the fabulous Ozotic Pro multichromatic nail polishes in an actual manicure. I chose number 506, which has hints of blue, pink and purple.

For my base I used Orly Royal Navy and Zoya Jacy. I wanted to see if the base coat makes any difference or not so I applied two coats of each over base coat as you can see in the pictures below.

Both colours are very pretty and vibrant and I could just keep my nails like that for a few days but at the time I was itching to test the Ozotic goodness.

I applied two coats of Ozotic Pro #506 and then a coat of Seche Vite topcoat to seal everything.

There are no words to describe how pretty this nail polish is. Depending on how I moved my nails, all my favourite colours would appear. Purple, blue and pink being the most dominant on my nails. Also I want to note that the base colour made no difference afterwards. On all my nails I saw the same colours.

I took my nails to the beach as well so here is a bonus shot ^_^

I had this mani on for a good 7 days before removing it and even at the 7th day it looked as good as new. It was with a heavy heart that I removed it to move on to the next one.

If you ever want to treat your nails to a unique nail colour, I highly recommend this one. It is of great quality and the end result is amazing and will definitely attract attention to your nails!

On information where to buy this beauty check my Ozotic haul post.

Orly Velvet Rope manicure and ring

Hello everyone ^_^/

while you are reading this, I will be strolling around beautiful Vienna with my darling.
But I queued up a couple of posts so my blog won't be left behind while I travel.

For this post I have chosen to show you a manicure I did a while ago, that goes well with the day I think.
For the base I used two coats of Orly Velvet Rope, one of my favourite purple nail polishes.
Then on the ring finger I put silver spangles and on the index fingers I stamped some flowers using China Glaze Millenuim. Sealed everything with a coat of Seche and the my nails were ready!

I loved how the combination turned out, so I decided to make a matching ring as well.
For those who are interested, I will post a tutorial on how I made this at a later time.
It was very easy and fun ^_^

My Greek pride manicure

Hello everyone ^_^/

how are you doing this lovely Saturday evening?
Today I have a very special manicure to share with you all.
On March 25 was the Greek Independence day and even though two of my nails have recently broken,
I wanted to make a manicure for the occasion.

I decided to make something in blue and white as these are the colours of our flag.

Here is what I used to achieve the look.

After base coat I applied two coats of Orly Out of this World.
Then I sponged GOSH Vanilla Ice on it.
Finally I added the rose 3D stickers and some spangles and sealed everything in with Seche Vite top coat.

As for staying power I had this on for 8 days and it was chip free. I finally changed it as I wanted to try another look. I think it is one of my favourite manicures so far!

Also don't forget to enter my Springtime Giveaway if you haven't already.

Orly Rage & Shine

Hello everyone ^_^/

How are you today? I am totally freaking out as I am starting a series of dreadful dentist visits. I am so so scared of dentists and even though my regular dentist is very nice I am still scared everytime I have to go. I don't think I will ever get over it.

So in order to cheer myself up I have some shiny foil FX nail polish swatches to share.

A few weeks ago I did this manicure using Orly's Rage & Shine from the Foil FX Collection. I love these polishes as they are super shiny and the looked fabulous with just two coats and without needing a top coat.

I have Rage on my index finger and Shine on all the rest.

If you like shiny polishes I highly recommend these beauties. I have the golden colour, Luxe, as well and I plan to swatch that too at some point.

I hope you all have a lovely and dentist free day :)

Polka Dots

Hello everyone ^_^/

As summer is finally upon us, I am in a cheeky mood and getting more and more into polka dots.

I've been trying all sorts of different polka dot designs so I decided to share some of my results.

Right now I have a black x silver polka dot design on my nails and this is how I did it.

I used the following products.

Black "Goth" polish and the silver from the foil series by Orly, China Glaze base and top coats, a dot brush and for the finish OPI fast dry spray (I am saved by this product because usually I keep ruining my manicures by randomly touching my nails here and there).

After applying the base coat I painted my nails to look like this.

Waited for them to dry a bit and then using the dot brush I did the polka dots(if you don't have one, a toothpick will produce the same effect ^_^).

Waited a bit for the dots to dry too and then applied top coat and used the spray too. This is the final result.

I also did the same design on my friend's nails, using pastel colours (mint and pink) by H&M and Anna Sui and this is how it came out.

So the design works well with all sorts of colour combinations and it is very simple to do as well.

Next week I am gonna try more styles so stay tuned ^_^
