Easy nails for Halloween

Hello everyone ^_^/

I have been meaning to make this post earlier in the week but I couldn't find the time, but finally here it is ^_^
I want to show you a couple of very simple Halloween manis, perfect for those who don't have enough time, like me.

The first one is a black and orange polka dot manicure. Very easy to achieve with a dotting tool or a toothpick.

I reversed the colours for an accent finger, to make this a little more fun. I used the orange Claire's nail polish I got from Moni and Sally Hansen's Black Out.

Even though it is a simple manicure, it is quite fun.

For the second one I wanted to use some of the fabulous Halloween polishes from China Glaze. So I started with two coats of It's Alive, a fantastic green glitter.

Then on some nails I drew stitches with black nail polish and on some nails I applied China Glaze Black Mesh. And here is the final result.

What do you think about these? Do you paint your nails in seasonal themes or just go with whatever you like?
I hope I can find time to do a more full on Halloween mani, as I have many ideas in my head. Let's see how that works out XD

For the time being don't forget to enter my running giveaway for a chance to win two Seventeen nail polishes.

Nails, nails and more nails!

Hello everyone ^_^/

As my vacation goes on, I wanted to show you some nails I did for friends lately.

First up is a holographic mani with a gothic feel that I did for my friend Sophia BSC.

I used NfuOh #63 and Deborah Lipmann Bad Romance as my base colours. Adding some black BarryM crackle and a few Japanese nail decals, the end result was quite impressive ^_^

Next up is P. She is my best friend since forever and she generally doesn't like painting her nails. But when she saw Hard Candy's Mr Right she wanted to give it a go. After applying two coats of the polish I used a coat of the BYS matte top coat for a more interesting look. She loved it and said it looked like leather.

And finally the usual suspect, T-chan. I always love doing her nails as she has such pretty hands and nails perfect for every look. This time we went for a simple duochrome that I picked up at Claire's when I was in Vienna. The colour changes from blue to green, with hints of purple.

That's all from me for today.

On a sidenote don't forget to enter my Let's celebrate summer Giveaway for a chance to win some really cute jewellery, it's open until August 15 ^___^

London nail polish haul swatches

Hello everyone ^_^/

gah, I cannot believe it's been a week since my last post. I blame the heat for this.
It's so hot that I feel like a chicken most of the time. September just cannot come soon enough X____X

This is a post I've been meaning to make for a while since I saw some of you were interested in the polishes I picked up from London. So I swatched them all on a nail wheel. All swatches are two coats each without topcoat.

From left to right the nail polishes are:
Model's Own Smash Up in Pink and Purple (layered over BarryM grey), GOSH Purple Heart, Accessorrize Pink Spice, Aztec, Notorious, Revlon Sunshine Sparkle and Blue Lagoon, BarryM Grey, Raspberry and Vivid Purple and finally a grey glitter and a pink shimmer from Claire's.

I hope you enjoy these while I go sit under the a/c to feel human again XD

My Austrian beauty haul

Hello everyone ^_^/

are you enjoying the weekend?
We are having fabulous weather today and even though I was working almost all day today I am determined to enjoy the rest of my weekend to the max!

In this post I will share my Austrian beauty haul as I like to call it. I managed to get my hands on brands we do not have here like Catrice and S-he and fulfill quite a few lemmings in the process.

I am warning you, this is going to be one looooooong post!
Here is a break down of the items.

I will start with L'Occitane, which is one of my favourite brands as of late. I am always very pleased with their products and I want to slowly try the whole range. I got a hand cream pack, a lavender body lotion and soap and my favourite face cream with apple and almond extracts (works wonders on my face). It was a pleasant surprise when I was given a Pivoine Flora shower cream and Paeonia beauty milk as a present. I haven't tried them yet but hey both smell fantastic!

I of course had to pop by a Claire's, as it is always one of my favourite places to shop and we don't have one in my city yet! I got a Hello Kitty nail art set, consisting of two nail polishes, some nail stickers and a glitter, 4 nail polishes (3 glitters and a duochrome) and a glitter eye palette. I am an absolute glitter addict and not afraid to say it hehehe!

Next up is Essence. We do have this brand here too but unfortunately we seldom get any of the nail art goods or special collections so I had to stock up. On the above picture, from left to right, I have gathered some special effect toppers (Mystic Mermaid, Hello Holo, It's Purplicious, Circus Confetti), 3 glitters from the Nail Art Twins series (Blair, Edward, Troy) and a Top Coat that claims it's better than gel nails.

The rest of the nail polishes, from left to right, are I Like, Bloom-A-Loom, Forget me Not from the blossom series, three stampy polishes in black, silver and white, the much coveted duochromes Where's the Party? and Out of My Mind, three magnetic polishes (Mystic Wish!, Miracle Shine!, Hex Hex!) and Roy's Red from the Whoom! Boooom!! collection.

Some more nail art goods including the new stamping plates, plus an eyeshadow duo and a lipgloss.

American Apparel nail polishes in Berry, Dynasty and Hassid, a Manhattan glitter top coat and a burgundy S-he nail polish with copper glitter in it.

And last but not least my new shiny Catrice babies. From left to right they are Forget Me Not!, Dirty Berry!, Purplelized, I Wear my Sunglasses at Night, Mermaiden and Wrapped Around My Finger. I've been wanting these for so long, I almost squealed when I saw them ^___^

What do you think of this haul? My darling was making fun at me for picking up so many polishes but I am very happy none the less ^_^
Now my problem is, which one should I try next?

Pink x black punk manicure

Hello everyone ^_^/

Just a quick post today before I head off to bed.
Today's mani was inspired from a couple of tutorials I saw in some of the blogs I follow.
It involves the use of fishnet. If you are the one who posted the tutorial or know who did, please let me know in the comments so I can add a link for everyone to check it out.

So basically what I did was paint my nails with a layer of Claire's funky/fabulous. Then using Sinful Color's Secret Admirer I covered some nails totally with it and for the rest I painted a piece of my fishnet tights that I cut off with the polish and just pressed it on the nails, producing the effect you see. Alas the tights were of course stretchy so it came out a bit messy, but I rather like it after all. Then I added a few black star spangles, topped everything with Seche and here is the finished result.

And with this I will head to bed.
Before I go let me apologise for being a horrible blogger the past couple of weeks. Things are a bit hectic right now but I am hoping to catch up with everyone in the weekend :)
Until then kisses to all of you xxx
